Saturday, October 21, 2017″
7:00am – 1:00pm
“Riptide Rendezvous” is a surf fly-fishing “tournament” organized by the Southwest Council as a fundraiser for Council activities.
It will be held at Rincon Beach Park in Carpentaria, from 7:00am – 1:00pm.
There is also an optional FREE Early Bird casting clinic
– 6:00am – 7:00am conducted by FFI-certified casting instructors.
We hope that your club members can join us!
There is NO entry fee, other than trading a surf-appropriate fly (which you can tie yourself, or purchase at a local shop) with another contestant.
After the fishing there will be a BBQ lunch and a raffle.
Our Master of Ceremonies for the raffle will be Al Quattrocchi aka“Al Q”
Al is the founder of the original “One Surf Fly” tournament, and has been fishing the surf for over forty years. Over the last twenty five years he has donated much of his time to promoting and teaching saltwater fly fishing, and he’s been a speaker at most of the SWC clubs. Al is a fly fishing author, artist, photographer, fly tier and IGFA world record holder. He is also a pro staff member for Tuffleye, Umpqua, and Enrico Puglisi products.
